Gunjan Soni has been officially appointed as the new Country Managing Director for India by YouTube. The announcement was made through a press release from the company, highlighting Soni’s impressive background, which spans over 20 years in sectors such as business, technology, marketing, and e-commerce. Her primary responsibility will be overseeing YouTube’s initiatives and expansion strategies within the Indian market.

Prior to her new role at YouTube, Soni held the position of Group CEO at ZALORA, a leading fashion e-commerce platform in Singapore. During her tenure, she played a critical role in driving category expansion and pioneering innovative business models. Her extensive experience also includes notable executive roles at Star India, where she served as Executive Vice President, as well as at Myntra, where she was the Chief Marketing Officer. Moreover, Soni has a prior association with McKinsey & Company, as a partner in their marketing and consumer practice. Currently, she is on the board of the CBRE Group, further showcasing her extensive leadership credentials.
