The OnePlus Winter Launch Event is scheduled to take place globally on January 7, 2025. The OnePlus 13 is anticipated to be the company’s flagship device for the upcoming year. Expected features include a vibrant 6.82-inch AMOLED display with an impressive 120Hz refresh rate, ensuring smooth scrolling and a captivating viewing experience. Powering the device is likely to be Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, which promises top-tier performance and efficiency. In terms of photography, the OnePlus 13 will boast a sophisticated camera system co-developed with Hasselblad. This setup is projected to include three 50MP sensors: a primary lens equipped with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS), a versatile telephoto lens, and an ultra-wide sensor for expansive landscape shots. Additionally, the smartphone may house a robust 6,000mAh battery, featuring 100W fast charging capabilities to keep users powered up throughout the day.
In contrast, the OnePlus 13R is designed as a more budget-friendly option within the lineup. The 13R will likely showcase a flatter design, departing from the curved edge display seen in its predecessor. It is expected to be powered by the previous year’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, which, while slightly older, still offers commendable performance. The device will also feature a triple camera setup; however, the resolution of these sensors will be lower compared to those on the OnePlus 13. Like its flagship counterpart, the OnePlus 13R is also expected to come with a generous 6,000mAh battery, ensuring ample power for daily use.
