ToggleAfter successfully unveiling their high-end Vivo X200 series in India, Vivo is now preparing to introduce the successor to its popular V-series smartphones. The Vivo V50 series is on the horizon, and the brand has already started teasing this exciting launch in India. The company has highlighted that the new smartphone will be equipped with Zeiss-powered optics, emphasizing its commitment to “Capture your forever.” While Vivo has yet to officially confirm the launch date, a recently leaked promotional poster indicates that the Vivo V50 will make its debut on February 18.
The teaser alongside the leaked visuals provides valuable insight into what we can anticipate regarding the design of the forthcoming Vivo V50. Speculations suggest it will boast a sleek, curved-edge display, complemented by a centrally positioned punch-hole camera. Additionally, leaked renders reveal a Rose Red color option alongside a stylish frame. Interestingly, there have been no mentions of the Vivo V50 Pro in the latest leaks, raising questions about whether the Pro variant will launch at a later date, or possibly not at all.
As per predictions, the Vivo V50 is expected to feature a remarkable 6.7-inch quad-curved AMOLED display, capable of supporting an impressive refresh rate of up to 120Hz. Under the hood, it will likely be powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset and will run on Funtouch OS based on Android 15. Key camera features may include a dual camera setup with two 50-megapixel sensors, allowing for exceptional photography capabilities. Moreover, the device is anticipated to house a significant 6,000mAh battery, which is expected to support fast charging at up to 90W, ensuring that users won’t have to worry about running out of power during their daily activities.
According to tipster Abhishek Yadav, the base variant of the Vivo V50 could be priced around Rs 37,999, with the overall price likely set below Rs 40,000. This pricing strategy positions the V50 slightly above the Vivo V40, which was launched in India at a starting price of Rs 34,999. This approach not only reflects an upgrade in specifications but also aims to cater to users seeking enhanced features in their smartphone experience.
As of now, it is wise to approach the information surrounding the Vivo V50 with caution until the official announcements are made. With the launch date drawing closer, further updates and insights are expected, which will likely clarify the specifications and pricing details.
