The images show four distinct color options for the upcoming device.

Additionally, it appears that the Pixel 9a’s camera module is designed to sit flush with the rear panel.

The eagerly awaited Pixel 9a, the more budget-friendly version of the Pixel 9 series, is anticipated to debut in early March. Launched in August last year, the Pixel 9 lineup garnered significant attention, leading fans to speculate about the features and design of its affordable counterpart. As we draw closer to the official unveiling, new leaks and rumors have emerged, painting a clearer picture of what to expect with the Pixel 9a. Recent leaks, particularly those concerning the device’s official case designs, suggest that it will bear a striking resemblance to the flagship Pixel 9, albeit with a few minor modifications.

Design and Color Variants of the Pixel 9a

According to findings reported by Android Authority, images of official silicone cases for the Pixel 9a have surfaced, unveiling four attractive color choices that will presumably match the device’s exterior. The available shades include Iris, Obsidian, Peony, and Porcelain, aligning with the vibrant color palette that Google showcased with the Pixel 9 lineup. Furthermore, the leak hints that, while the Pixel 9a will feature Google’s iconic camera bar design, it will be positioned flush against the back panel. This design choice contrasts with the raised camera module observed on the flagship Pixel 9 series, a feature that received some criticism from users.

Expected Specifications of the Pixel 9a

As for the technical specifications, the Pixel 9a is rumored to be powered by Google’s proprietary Tensor G4 chipset, paired with 8GB of RAM. It is also slated to launch with Android 15 pre-installed. The display will likely be a 6.3-inch Actua screen, which will be safeguarded by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. On the imaging front, leaks suggest a dual-camera setup featuring a 48-megapixel primary sensor alongside a 13-megapixel ultrawide lens situated on the rear.

Finally, it is speculated that the Pixel 9a will be equipped with a robust 5,100mAh battery, supporting 23W of wired charging and 7.5W of wireless charging, catering to users’ demands for both performance and longevity.

As we anticipate the official announcements, it’s wise to treat this information as speculative until confirmed by the company.
