POCO has made a grand entrance into the Indian smartphone market by unveiling two new models in its X-series lineup: the POCO X7 Pro and the POCO X7. Both smartphones boast impressive enhancements in display technology, processing capability, and overall battery performance.
The POCO X7 Pro boasts a brilliant 6.67-inch LTPS OLED display that supports a stunning 120Hz refresh rate and offers an impressive peak brightness of up to 3,200 nits. This model features the cutting-edge MediaTek Dimensity 8400-Ultra processor, paired with up to 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB of UFS 4.0 storage capacity. Operating on Android 15 with Hyper OS 2, the phone takes advantage of AI-powered functionalities such as AI Notes, a Recorder, Translation capabilities, and subtitles to enhance user experience.
Photography enthusiasts will appreciate the X7 Pro’s dual rear camera configuration, which includes a 50MP Sony LTY-600 main sensor with optical image stabilization alongside an 8MP ultra-wide lens. Meanwhile, the device is energized by a robust 6,550mAh carbon-silicon battery that supports a lightning-fast 90W charging capability, allowing the phone to achieve a full charge in just 45 minutes, as per POCO’s claims.
The standard POCO X7 presents a 6.67-inch curved OLED display that delivers a peak brightness of 3,000 nits, and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2. Equipped with the MediaTek Dimensity 7300-Ultra SoC, this model is supported by a 5,500mAh battery capable of 45W fast charging. The camera array consists of a 50MP primary sensor, accompanied by an 8MP ultra-wide lens and a 2MP macro camera, enabling a wide variety of photography scenarios.
Both the X7 Pro and X7 come with IP66, IP68, and IP69 certifications, ensuring robust dust and water resistance. Additionally, POCO has pledged to deliver three years of operating system updates alongside four years of security patches for both devices, securing their longevity and usability in an evolving tech landscape.
The POCO X7 Pro is set to hit the market on January 14, with the 8GB+256GB variant priced at Rs 27,999, while the 12GB+256GB model will retail at Rs 29,999. On the other hand, the POCO X7 will be available starting January 17; it will be priced at Rs 21,999 for the 8GB+128GB version, and Rs 23,999 for the 8GB+256GB model. Both smartphones will be sold exclusively on Flipkart and can be purchased in an array of stunning colors, including the iconic POCO Yellow.
