Vijay Shekhar Sharma, co-founder and CEO of Paytm, has expressed his dissatisfaction with the camera capabilities of the iPhone 16.

On the platform X (formerly Twitter), he revealed that he is contemplating a switch to Google’s Pixel smartphone due to his experience.

Recently, Paytm’s co-founder and CEO, Vijay Shekhar Sharma, took to X (previously known as Twitter) to voice his discontent with the camera performance of Apple’s latest offering, the iPhone 16. Sharing his candid thoughts on Sunday, he indicated that he might convert to Google’s Pixel as an alternative, reflecting a growing sentiment among users that the iPhone’s camera quality has taken a downturn.

In a post that gained traction, Sharma wrote, “I am surprised at how the iPhone has severely degraded its camera (software/app) quality in the 16. It’s so disappointing that I am genuinely considering purchasing a Pixel now.” He further invited others to share if they were experiencing similar issues with their devices.

Sharma’s sentiments did not go unnoticed; many users chimed in with their own observations. Parminder Singh, a previous executive at Google, mentioned, “I’ve had a similar experience. There’s clearly something amiss with either the camera or its application.”

One user reflected on the evolution of iPhones, stating, “The iPhone 6 was the last true innovator. The subsequent models seem to focus more on aesthetics and incremental upgrades. The last three versions feel like mere copies.” Another user echoed frustrations about declining camera quality over time, sharing, “I’ve found that camera performance deteriorates rapidly within a year, regardless of the model purchased.”
