In terms of notification management, Apple has made some valuable adjustments to Notification Summaries for users of the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 16 series. These updates simplify the management of notification settings directly from the Lock Screen. Additionally, the styling of summarised notifications has received an overhaul, now featuring italicized text to differentiate them from regular notifications. Notably, with the iOS 18.3 update, notification summaries for News and Entertainment applications will no longer be available.
This update also comes with critical improvements and bug fixes, targeting several issues within the Calculator application that impacted the repeated execution of mathematical operations. Furthermore, users may notice a fix for instances where the keyboard could unexpectedly disappear when initiating a typed Siri request, as well as enhancements to audio playback quality.
The iOS 18.3 release candidate is currently available to developers and beta testers, positioning it as the final version set to be distributed to the public. While reports suggest a release date as early as January 28, Apple has yet to confirm this officially.
Additionally, alongside iOS 18.3, updates for iPadOS 18.3, macOS Sequoia 15.3, tvOS 18.3, visionOS 2.3, and watchOS 11.3 are also anticipated to launch in the upcoming week.
This update will be compatible with any iPhone running on iOS 18 and later versions. However, it’s important to note that the advanced Apple Intelligence features are exclusively available to users of iPhone 15 Pro and newer models.
