Samsung has revealed its latest Android 15-based UI skin, One UI 7, at the recent Galaxy Unpacked event.

During its highly anticipated Galaxy Unpacked Event, Samsung introduced the new Galaxy S25 series, alongside its custom Android 15-based user interface, One UI 7. This new UI will be available out-of-the-box on devices from the S25 series. For users with previous Samsung models, the awaited update will soon follow. One UI 7 is set to prioritize flagship devices, starting with the S24 and S23 series, before being gradually extended to other models across the Samsung lineup. This major update promises to deliver a plethora of AI-driven enhancements and various performance improvements, making Galaxy smartphones more intuitive and efficient. Some of the standout features include Now Brief, an upgraded Circle to Search function, AI-enhanced multitasking capabilities, and crucial privacy updates aimed at securing user data. Ultimately, Samsung intends to transform how users engage with their devices through this innovative software.

Key Features of One UI 7

• Now Brief & Now Bar: This feature delivers a quick overview of essential information such as weather updates, health statistics, and the latest news, accessible at a glance. The Now Bar will automatically display relevant information as soon as the device is unlocked.
• Enhanced Circle to Search: Users will have the ability to take immediate actions from search results related to phone numbers, emails, and URLs, making navigation more seamless and efficient.
• AI-Powered Search & Multitasking: One UI 7 includes context-aware AI recommendations that assist users in performing tasks more effectively. This feature enhances the overall user experience by making it easier to manage multiple tasks.
• New Productivity Tools: The update integrates features such as Call Transcript, Writing Assist, and Drawing Assist, all designed to streamline communication and boost creativity. Additionally, an Audio Eraser feature has been incorporated to remove background noise from videos, ensuring cleaner sound quality.
• Privacy Upgrades: Enhancing user security, the Personal Data Engine processes data on-device, fortifying privacy and ensuring that personal information remains secure.

The stable release of One UI 7 is anticipated to roll out soon for the Galaxy S24 series. Meanwhile, users with the Galaxy S23 can look forward to receiving the update by mid-February. Other compatible Galaxy devices will follow suit in the months that come, although an official date for the update’s public release has yet to be confirmed by Samsung.
