ToggleRecently, Nothing has launched its highly awaited Phone 3a and Phone 3a Pro in the international market. These devices come equipped with notable upgrades across several dimensions, including camera capabilities, design aesthetics, processing performance, display quality, and battery efficiency. Despite sharing a majority of specifications, minor distinctions elevate the Phone 3a Pro into a slightly higher price bracket. Below, we provide a thorough comparison to guide you in making an enlightened purchase decision.
The starting price for the Nothing Phone 3a is Rs 24,999, while the 8GB RAM + 256GB storage variant is priced at Rs 26,999. In comparison, the Nothing Phone 3a Pro starts at Rs 29,999. The 8GB RAM + 256GB variant for the Pro is available for Rs 31,999, and the high-end 12GB RAM + 256GB configuration comes in at Rs 33,999. All prices include various bank offers that could provide additional savings.
Both the Phone 3a and Phone 3a Pro embody Nothing’s unique transparent design ethos, featuring a distinctive Glyph interface. An observable difference lies in the camera bump: the Phone 3a Pro has a more prominent design, while the Phone 3a exhibits a Pixel-like camera arrangement. Regarding display, both smartphones are equipped with a brilliant 6.77-inch AMOLED screen that provides a smooth 120Hz refresh rate, HDR10+ support, and an impressive peak brightness of 3,000 nits. Durability is guaranteed with Panda Glass safeguarding their screens.
Under the hood, both the Nothing Phone 3a and Phone 3a Pro are fueled by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chipset, complemented by the Adreno 710 GPU for optimal performance. They run on Android 15-based Nothing OS 3, which is designed to deliver seamless user experiences. Users can expect three major OS updates and four years of vital security patches. The Phone 3a is equipped with up to 8GB of RAM, while the Pro variant enhances this with 12GB RAM and storage options that go up to 256GB.
Both devices feature a robust 5,000 mAh battery, capable of fast charging at 50W. It is important to note, however, that chargers will not be included in the packaging, so buyers will need to purchase chargers separately if they don’t have compatible ones already.
In terms of photography, both the Phone 3a and Phone 3a Pro are equipped with a 50MP main camera and an 8MP ultrawide sensor. The standout feature of the Phone 3a Pro is its advanced 50MP Sony LYT600 periscope telephoto lens (1/1.95-inch), which is capable of 3x optical zoom and boasts optical image stabilization. In contrast, the Phone 3a features a 50MP Samsung JN5 sensor (1/2.76-inch) with a 2x zoom. However, this variant lacks the benefits of optical image stabilization.
