The reason for this comparison lies in the fact that numerous smartphone manufacturers are on the verge of launching their new mid-range models. Among them, Nothing and iQOO are slated to unveil their next smartphones in the coming month of March. Both companies have confirmed the release dates for their upcoming devices: the Nothing Phone 3a will make its debut in India on March 4, while the iQOO Neo 10R is set to launch shortly after on March 11. Although both brands have been tantalizing us with teasers, they have remained relatively reserved when it comes to revealing detailed specifications.
As is often the case, speculation and leaks are flourishing in the lead-up to these launches. Since the initial teasers, we’ve witnessed a steady stream of information regarding the essential specifications of both smartphones. While these leaks may vary once the Phone 3a and iQOO Neo 10R hit the market, we can glean some insight into what to expect. Let’s dive into the anticipated features of the Nothing Phone 3a and the iQOO Neo 10R.
Let’s begin by discussing the design aspect since iQOO has already unveiled the design of the Neo 10R, while Nothing is renowned for its innovative aesthetics. Among the various color options for the iQOO Neo 10R is a striking shade called Raging Blue, featuring a dual-tone finish of blue and white. Additionally, the camera module of the Neo 10R has adopted a squarish design with softer corners. In contrast, rumors suggest that Nothing has made significant changes to the camera island of its Phone 3a, although the iconic Glyph LED lights will likely remain a staple feature.
Turning our attention to the display specifications, the iQOO Neo 10R is anticipated to be equipped with a 6.78-inch 1.5K AMOLED screen offering an impressive 144Hz refresh rate support. Meanwhile, the Nothing Phone 3a is expected to feature a slightly larger 6.8-inch OLED display with 120Hz refresh rate capabilities.
On the performance front, the iQOO Neo 10R is likely to be powered by the cutting-edge Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset, potentially complemented by up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. In contrast, the Nothing Phone 3a is believed to run on the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 processor, offering a configuration with up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. Both smartphones are projected to come with custom UI skins based on Android 15.
In terms of photography, the iQOO Neo 10R is rumored to boast a 50MP Sony LYT-600 primary camera alongside an 8MP ultrawide lens. Conversely, the Phone 3a is anticipated to come equipped with a more versatile camera setup, including a 50MP primary rear sensor, a 50MP telephoto lens, and an 8MP ultrawide camera.
Powering the iQOO Neo 10R will likely be a robust 6400mAh battery with support for 80-watt rapid charging, ensuring you have ample juice for your daily tasks. In comparison, the Nothing Phone 3a is expected to offer a more modest 5000mAh battery with 45W fast charging capabilities.
It is anticipated that both smartphones will launch in India with a price tag below Rs 30,000. Specifically, the Nothing Phone 3a is expected to be priced under Rs 25,000, while the iQOO Neo 10R is likely to be available at a slightly higher price point, under Rs 30,000.
