ToggleAccording to the latest reports, Apple is embarking on a substantial overhaul of its Health app which may introduce an AI-driven health coach. This ambitious effort, known as Project Mulberry, aims to leverage artificial intelligence in delivering tailored health advice to users.
In a recent edition of his Power On newsletter, Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman detailed the changes anticipated in this update. He indicated that Apple’s forthcoming AI agent is designed to function as a virtual healthcare provider, thoroughly analyzing health data to provide personalized recommendations. “The initiative is called Project Mulberry, and it involves a complete reimagining of the Health app along with an AI health coach. This service would be driven by a new AI agent aiming to mimic—in some respects—a real medical professional,” revealed Gurman.
This transformative update is expected to debut with iOS 19.4, projected to launch sometime in the spring or summer of the upcoming year.

The revamped Health app will maintain its ability to aggregate data from various sources, including the iPhone, Apple Watch, and third-party devices. However, with the integration of AI support, users can expect significantly enhanced health insights.
Apple is in the process of training its AI system using information sourced from its internal medical team and seeks to collaborate with a range of external experts across diverse domains such as sleep science, nutrition, mental health, and cardiology. These professionals are expected to create educational content, including videos that educate users about various health conditions, and provide them with strategies to enhance their well-being.

This AI-powered coaching offering may also be marketed as a subscription service called Health+. Additionally, it is anticipated that features such as food logging, AI-enhanced nutritional guidance, and workout evaluations utilizing the iPhone’s camera could be incorporated into the app.
