The game has became one of the most eagerly awaited titles in gaming history. While Rockstar Games, the developer behind the GTA series, continues to keep a tight lid on the release date and related details, speculations and leaks have become rampant across the internet. New insights suggest that the game’s launch could be pushed beyond 2025, which was the previously announced time frame. Although Rockstar initially targeted a 2025 release, more recent indications suggest the game might not see the light of day until 2026.

GTA 6 Release Date: Timeline Extension to 2026?

Take-Two Interactive, the parent company of Rockstar, still maintains that GTA 6 is set to launch in Fall 2025. However, a credible source on Twitter, known as @Mvbrr, has intimated that the game might not reach completion in time for that release window. Adding to the uncertainty, Bloomberg’s Jason Schreier has reported that the game has endured multiple internal delays in development. Unfortunately, this raises the grim possibility that fans may have to wait even longer than they anticipated for the game’s release. We understand this might come as disappointing news for many!

Anticipations for GTA 6 Trailer 2 and Gameplay Insights

The excitement among fans reached a new high when the first trailer for GTA 6 was unveiled in December 2023. Since then, the community has been eagerly awaiting the second trailer. If the rumors are accurate, we could expect the second trailer to drop on April 1, 2025, potentially revealing gameplay footage and various new in-game locales. The first trailer confirmed the return to the iconic setting of Vice City and introduced two principal characters, Jason and Lucia, inspired by the legendary duo Bonnie and Clyde.

GTA 6 Pre-Orders and Speculative Pricing

While Rockstar has yet to provide any official word on pre-orders, reports from Malaysian retailer Gamers Hideout suggest they have taken the initiative to start accepting deposits for the game. However, fans are advised to wait for a concrete announcement from Rockstar for any official confirmation.

In terms of speculative pricing, if leaks turn out to be correct, the standard edition of GTA 6 could fetch a price exceeding $100 (approximately ₹5,999 in India), positioning it as one of the most expensive AAA games ever. Special editions may go even higher, potentially exceeding ₹7,299.
