Samsung has recently unveiled One UI 7, which is based on Android 15. This major update was announced alongside the launch of the Galaxy S25 series. One UI 7 brings significant enhancements compared to its predecessor, One UI 6, which was based on Android 14. Users can expect exciting new features, significant design improvements, and a host of productivity tools.
Currently, One UI 7 is available exclusively on the Galaxy S25 series, and plans are in motion for a broader rollout. Below, we’ve compiled an overview of the notable features included in this update, as well as details about supported devices and the anticipated release schedule.
One of the standout features of One UI 7 is Now Brief, an innovative AI-powered tool designed to keep users informed about a variety of essential daily updates, including weather forecasts, health metrics, and various significant insights. Users will see an alert for the Now Brief feature promptly upon unlocking their Galaxy device, with the Now Bar displaying vital information.
Furthermore, the Circle to Search feature has undergone improvements, granting users the ability to interact with phone numbers, email addresses, and URLs more effectively. Additionally, the AI-enhanced actionable searches provide contextual recommendations, facilitating effortless multitasking throughout the user experience.
In terms of productivity, One UI 7 introduces new tools like Call Transcript, Writing Assist, and Drawing Assist, which aim to streamline the process of organizing and summarizing information. Users can conveniently combine text and images, enhancing their overall workflow. Another useful addition is the Audio Eraser, which allows users to enhance the audio quality of videos, making their multimedia content clearer and more engaging.

Recent reports indicate that the One UI 7 beta version is currently available to select Galaxy S24 users across several countries, including India. The stable release for the Galaxy S24 series is set to launch on February 7, with the update for Galaxy S23 series devices expected to follow in mid-February. The rollout for the remaining eligible devices will take place gradually over the upcoming months. It’s noteworthy that Samsung has yet to provide an official timeline for the full and final release of One UI 7 across all supported devices.
