Exciting news has arrived as Samsung unveils the much-anticipated Galaxy S25 series in a grand launch event held in San Jose, California. This new flagship series consists of three standout smartphones: the Samsung Galaxy S25, the Samsung Galaxy S25+, and the premium Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra. A significant update for this year is that all three models are powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy processor, which stands in contrast to last year’s Galaxy S24 series, where the base models featured the Exynos 2400 chipset in India.

Samsung Galaxy S25 and Galaxy S25+ Specifications

Both the Samsung Galaxy S25 and Galaxy S25+ sport dazzling AMOLED displays that refresh at an impressive 120Hz rate. The standard S25 model features a 6.2-inch display with FHD+ resolution, while the S25+ boasts a larger 6.7-inch panel that supports QHD+ resolution.

Performance-wise, both smartphones are equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy processor, a technologically advanced variation of the original S8 Elite chip. The standard Galaxy S25 offers three storage configurations: 12GB RAM with either 128GB, 256GB, or 512GB of internal storage. In contrast, the S25+ is available in two storage variants—12GB of RAM paired with either 256GB or 512GB of storage. Both smartphones operate on the latest Android 15, adorned with the OneUI 7 interface for an enhanced user experience.

When it comes to photography capabilities, both devices feature a consistent camera setup. This includes a robust 50-megapixel primary camera, alongside a 10-megapixel telephoto lens that offers 3x optical zoom, and a 12-megapixel ultra-wide camera. For capturing selfies, you will find a 12-megapixel front camera available on both models as well.

The battery specifications show a distinction in capacity with the Galaxy S25 housing a 4000mAh battery that supports 25-watt fast charging. Meanwhile, the Galaxy S25+ delivers a more substantial 4900mAh battery with support for faster 45-watt charging, enabling both durability and efficiency on the go.

Price and Availability

As for pricing details, the Samsung Galaxy S25 is introduced in India with a starting price of Rs 80,999, marking a Rs 1,000 increase compared to last year’s model. The Plus variant is priced starting at Rs 92,999, seeing a price hike of Rs 2,000 from its predecessor.

While Samsung has yet to confirm the specific sales date, pre-orders for these new devices commence today, promising benefits up to Rs 21,000 for those who decide to reserve their unit early.
